Why Women Should Train Martial Arts

Why Women Should Train Martial Arts—

Ladies, wanna know how to get your fitness on without having to look at a treadmill? It’s an easy fix – make the decision to start martial arts and train consistently. Mix that with healthy habits, and you’ll be well on your way to becoming unstoppable.

It might seem a little scary, walking into a male-dominated sport, but once you get comfortable, you’ll find a host of other benefits.

Here are 7 of the most common reasons why Women Train Martial Arts:

1. SELF DEFENSE!!

Some get to rely on the neighborhood watch, though you shouldn’t take it for granted, as you never know when you might find yourself in danger. Training martial arts would help you learn the necessary skills to protect yourself and your family. Being in the gym consistently will also keep you on your toes and sharpen your mental- toughness, if anyone is to test your new found skills.

2. It creates a new sense of confidence

When you train regularly and can see yourself improving, you’ll gain a different type of confidence in yourself. You’ll even feel better about how you look, because your muscles will get more toned. In just ONE martial arts class, you can loose up to 1,000 calories… I repeat, 1,000 calories.

Joining a martial arts program also requires constant communication with your coaches and teammates. This will help you develop important social skills and give you the confidence to socialize and communicate better with everyone. Even outside of the gym setting.

3. It helps you get into shape

Other than all the different muscles you’ll develop, you’ll also develop a better version of yourself.

As you get stronger both physically and mentally during your martial arts journey, you’ll notice that you’re getting in shape inside-out. This helps tremendously in your daily life because you’ll learn to work with your daily struggles.

4. It helps you meet amazing people

The more time you spend on the mat, the more comfortable you’ll become with your teammates- quickly becoming friends. They will push you through your toughest training days, and teach you things that you would have never known. You’ll meet some of the most amazing people of your lives on the mat, and you’ll find yourself hanging out with your new found best pals with diverse backgrounds!

5. It develops mental toughness

Endurance and stamina are two of the many qualities that you’ll gain from constantly trying various techniques shown, practiced in class and applied in live grappling/sparring situations. The live grappling/sparring practice will prepare you in case you find yourself in a sticky situation, off of the mats.

Martial Arts is another form of constant self-improvement. Any time spent training, is good time well spent.

6. It teaches you how to love body

Because your body is both your weapon and armor in martial arts, training regularly will teach you to treat your body with respect. This means you’ll learn to lead a healthier lifestyle with good rest and the proper fuel that your body needs.

When you hold onto these good habits, you’ll slowly become a lean, mean fighting machine. You'll also learn that your body is capable of more than you ever thought. It's not just an image in the mirror but a machine with amazing abilities.

7. It helps you become a happier person

An intense martial arts class will release your endorphins so you can leave all your worries at the door when you walk in. Especially knowing you’ll get to see your friends, and get a great work out in for the day.

What’s better than knowing you get to punch, kick and fight your friends, when you get off work?

So, looking to become the happiest, healthiest and best version of you? Go ahead and take your first step, girl and sign up for your free trial class!
